Proseva began as a small gathering at a co-working space in Bangsar in 2019. A group of working women — some just starting out, some well into their careers — sat around a table and admitted they didn't fully understand their own bank statements. That honesty became the foundation of everything we do.
The name Proseva comes from the Malay concept of persevatan — a sense of shared belonging and mutual support. It reflects our belief that when women learn about money together, everyone's understanding deepens. You don't need to figure this out alone.
We are not a financial advice firm. We are an adult education community with a clear focus: helping women in Malaysia build the knowledge and steady habits they need to make confident everyday money decisions. Our facilitators are educators, not advisors. Our programmes are community experiences, not lectures.
Since 2019 we have run programmes for women from a wide range of backgrounds — fresh graduates, sole breadwinners, small business owners, women returning to work after caring responsibilities and women approaching retirement. The common thread is the desire to feel more in control of one's own finances, without the pressure or noise that often surrounds the topic.

Our approach
We work from the ordinary — everyday bills, monthly budgets, Malaysian banking realities — rather than abstract theory. Every session is small, structured and shaped by the actual questions participants bring with them.
Our community
Past participants remain part of the Proseva network. Many return for further programmes or join as session volunteers, sharing their own experience with newer cohorts. Community continues beyond the final session.

Nurul Ain binti Azman
Lead Facilitator & Co-Founder
Nurul Ain has over twelve years of experience in adult education and community facilitation across the Klang Valley. She designed Proseva's core curriculum and leads the flagship Money Confidence Course.
Siti Rahimah Yusoff
Programmes Coordinator
Siti Rahimah manages cohort scheduling, participant support and materials development. She joined Proseva in 2021 after working with a community development NGO in Petaling Jaya.
Priya Letchumanan
Community Facilitator
Priya facilitates the Women & Money Community Workshop and supports participants through the Complete Programme. Her background is in financial literacy education and adult numeracy training.
How we keep quality central
Every aspect of a Proseva programme — from the workbooks to the group dynamics — is governed by clear principles we revisit and refine each year.
Adult learning principles
All curricula follow established adult education principles — starting from participants' existing knowledge, using real-life examples and building skills progressively.
Facilitator development
Our facilitators take part in ongoing peer review, quarterly programme evaluations and regular updates to session materials to reflect current Malaysian financial context.
Participant privacy
What is shared in a Proseva session stays within the room. All participants agree to a group confidentiality commitment at the start of every programme. Personal data is handled in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
Educational scope boundaries
Proseva programmes are clearly positioned as general financial education. No programme content constitutes regulated financial, investment or legal advice. Participants are always encouraged to consult licensed professionals for personal decisions.
Participant feedback loops
Every cohort completes an anonymous feedback form. We review responses after each programme cycle and adjust session content, pacing and materials based on what participants tell us actually helped.
Inclusive environment policy
Proseva sessions are open to all women regardless of background, profession or starting knowledge level. Our facilitators are trained to moderate group dynamics so that every voice is heard and respected.
Financial literacy education for women in Malaysia
Money education in Malaysia has historically been shaped around formal schooling and corporate training — neither of which works particularly well for adult women who want to improve their everyday money management without sitting through content that feels irrelevant to their lives.
Proseva fills that gap. Our programmes are designed around the questions real women bring to the table: how to read a payslip properly, how to build a budget that accounts for irregular expenses, how to start thinking about saving when money feels tight, how to have clearer conversations with a spouse or family member about shared finances.
Based in Kuala Lumpur at Menara Etiqa, Bangsar, we serve women from across the Klang Valley and occasionally welcome participants from Selangor and Putrajaya for our weekend sessions. All programme content is grounded in Malaysian everyday financial realities — local bank products, EPF basics, ringgit-denominated planning and the cost of living pressures that shape decisions here.
Our community learning model means that participants gain not only from the structured curriculum but from each other. Hearing how another woman navigated a similar challenge — switching careers, managing after a spouse's job loss, handling finances after a divorce — often provides the kind of perspective that no workbook alone can offer.
Proseva holds no position on investment products, specific financial institutions or government schemes. We are educators. Our aim is always to leave participants better equipped to ask the right questions and to understand the answers they receive, wherever they seek further guidance.
