Three ways to build your money confidence — at your own pace
Every Proseva programme is a genuine community learning experience. Choose the one that fits where you are right now, and the time you have available.
Back to HomeHow Proseva programmes are built
Every programme we run follows the same core principles, regardless of its length or depth. We start from what participants already know — or already worry about — and build outwards from there. No assumptions are made about prior knowledge. No question is too basic.
Sessions are structured around a mix of facilitator-led explanation, small-group reflection and individual note-making. The pace is set by the group, not by a fixed slide deck. If something needs more time, it gets more time.
All materials are developed in-house by Proseva and reviewed annually against the current Malaysian financial context — so what participants learn reflects how banking, budgeting and everyday money decisions actually work here, now.
Participant-led pacing
Questions and discussions shape the session, not a rigid schedule.
Malaysian-grounded content
Every scenario, tool and example is built around life in Malaysia.
Peer learning structure
The group's shared experience is part of the curriculum, not incidental.
Annual content review
Materials are updated each year to stay current with local financial realities.

It covers budgeting basics, simple record-keeping and building comfort with money conversations — without jargon or pressure. Suited to women at any life stage who want a friendly, practical starting point.
The session includes structured group discussion, individual workbook exercises and a community reflection segment where participants can share what resonates with their own situation. A printed workbook is provided and stays with you after the session ends.

- Understanding where your money goes each month
- Building a simple, realistic monthly budget

Money Confidence Course (5 Weeks)
A five-week community course that builds everyday money skills through shared learning. The same group of women meets weekly, building on each previous session. Topics move from the fundamentals of budgeting through to reading financial statements, developing steady habits and beginning to plan for the months ahead.
A peer circle connects participants between sessions so the learning doesn't stop when the session ends. Digital tools and weekly reflective prompts are included. This course is designed to build practical money capability that participants feel in their day-to-day decision-making.
Five-week curriculum overview
Week 1 — Money and me: Understanding your current financial picture. Mapping income, spending and habits.
Week 2 — Reading your statements: Bank statements, payslips and what the numbers actually mean.
Week 3 — Building your budget: Creating a budget that works for your actual life, not an idealised version of it.
Week 4 — Habits and decisions: The psychology of spending, habit loops and making decisions with more awareness.
Week 5 — Looking ahead: Short-term planning, setting realistic money goals and maintaining what you've built.
